Buying game top-ups online safely: a 7-point checklist

Game currency is a favourite target for scammers. Whether you buy from us or anyone else, these seven checks keep your account and your money safe.
1. Never share your password
A real top-up only needs your player ID (and sometimes a server or zone). Any seller asking for your game password, email login or verification codes is trying to take your account.
2. Check the player ID before you pay
A good store shows the account name for the ID you entered. On ForaStack this happens before payment, so a typo costs nothing.
3. Match the region
Gift cards and many top-ups only work in one region. Read our regions guide and check the "Works in" label.
4. Be wary of prices that are too good
Prices far below what the game itself charges often mean stolen cards or accounts that get banned later. A fair discount is normal; a 70% discount is a warning sign.
5. Know the refund policy before you buy
